Helping young people to Think Big in St Helens

Aged 13-25, or know someone that is? Then we’ve got some ways you can get some money to use digital to do something great in St Helens. Flex your digital muscle to build a website, design an app or make a film, or get help to build your CV and get your foot on the career ladder.

We’ve teamed up with St Helens Council and St Helens Chamber to offer 60 grants of £300 to people in St Helens aged 13-25 to lead projects using digital for social good. If you’ve got an idea that can help your community or the environment, that involves a bit of tech or using the web, we might be able to give you some money to bring it to life.

If you’re not sure what to do, have a look at some of our existing projects, or talk to our team via hello@o2thinkbig.co.uk or @ThinkBigHub on twitter.

Once you’ve got your idea, head to this page to check your idea meets our criteria and complete a short application form.  Make sure you enter ‘STHELENS’ in the Youth Partner Code box so we can fast-track your application.

Apply now as funding will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis to those that meet the criteria, and is available for a limited time.

And if you fancy doing some digital making over half term, then come to one (or more) of our workshops in the O2 Digital Hub.  We’ve got sessions to help you design an app, build a website or make a film on your smartphone – find out more and sign up here. And if you are starting to think about what career you might want, or applying for jobs, then check out www.GoThinkBig.co.uk. There are opportunities to gain work and skills experience, as well as lots of advice for young job seekers.
